DSS-GB are the European Champions…Again!

DSS

The 5th DSISO European and Open Swimming Championships were held in Sardinia, Italy in September 2019. The team of swimmers from great Britain were, once again, crowned Champions.

With great performances from both the T21 and Mosaic swimmers throughout the week, personal bests were smashed and World Records were set. All under the beautiful Sardinian sunshine.

Not only that, Mark Evens was the top T21 male swimmer and Ellen Stephenson was the top female Mosaic swimmer. Quite a haul of trophies to bring home. For a full rundown of the swimmers’ awards, take a look at our News page.

The swimmers, coaches, chaperones and families enjoyed a week of ferocious competition resulting in GBR topping the medals table. God Save the Queen was sung frequently and with great gusto by swimmers and supporters alike. When not competing, time was spent cementing friendships old and new.

A hugely enjoyable and successful week was had by all.
